Jesse lives in Olalla, Washington with his wife Julie of five years. Jesse was born in Denver Colorado, to Scott and Paulette. He did the most of his growing up in different states, on the West Coast. He graduated from Anderson High School, in Anderson, California. Whether it was hunting, fishing or gold panning, he learned to love and respect the outdoors from his dad at a very young age. Not knowing what he wanted to do after high school. Jesse joined the Navy his senior year. Being stationed on an Aircraft Carrier based on the West Coast. He was fortunate to see and experience different countries. Singapore, Malaysia and Perth, Australia were his two favorite ports of call. After his second West Pac. his ship was sent to PSNS Bremerton for overhaul. Getting out of the Navy in Bremerton, and liking the area he stayed and became a Resident/Volunteer Fire Fighter, with a Fire Dept in Kitsap County. He also joined the Carpenters Union in Bremerton. In the time that he has been with the Carpenter Union he has been both President and Vice President, of the Bremerton Local. As well being one of four rank and file members, to sit on the contract negations board. Wanting to help preserve and protect the Natural Resources in Washington he took a COURT class. Sparking his curiosity, he volunteered to help work a Biological Check Station. Continuing to work check stations he was asked to become, Region 6 Coastal Biological Check Station Manager. When the Wildlife Directors position became vacant in 2009 he was nominated, up for the challenge he accepted. During the short time that he has been with Eyes in the Woods. Jesse has gained a new respect for WDFW Biologist and Enforcement officers, and the challenges they deal with on a daily basis. His main passion is Elk Hunting with bow in hand. The first year he was introduced to Elk Hunting, he was fortunate enough to harvest a Bull. And so his passion for Elk began. Jesse is also a member of the Kitsap County Fair and Stampede Top Hands. |
